Huh, I'd have to say your nuts. There is poligamy without religion, but there really is no religion without poligamous roots. Women and Men are different creatures, with different desires and duties, men are providers by nature and women are nurturer's. The new idea that men and women are the same will never work, it destroys the fabric that brings men and women together, wherever there is a union there is a leader, either the man, or the women, but never equal.

Hello Susanna,
Everything you have written in this post is true to my own experience. I was not able to get up and walk away until I realized I had been a willing victim. Then I gathered the last of my wits and left. In that moment, I had no more recriminations, not towards me, not towards anyone. As long as I had remorse, I was still blaming myself, and blaming others. Now when I look back, it is behind me. Thank you for your writing, and your courage.

Hi Susanna,
I have just finished your book and had to contact you and tell you how WONDERFUL it is!

I volunteer with The HOPE Organization in St. George and we are working with almost 100 women, teenagers and children who have left the polygamous culture. HOPE helps provide basic human needs to help them transition into mainstream society.

Your story and your attitude about the abuse you endured as a child is an inspiration to me. As I read your book I laughed (when you mooned the passing cars) and I cried (when the mangy old horse died). I enjoyed each and every page of your book.

You are a remarkable lady and quite a survivor of abuse. I am happy to hear that you are going to write a second book; I can't wait to read it.

I would love for you to email me sometime so we can "chat".

Thanks for sharing your personal story with the world.

Christianity is not elitist and if you know a Christian that acts that way he/she is misunderstanding the servanthood that is the faith. Christianity is a humble existance of servanthood. Even slave-hood.
